Is Autolinium really free?
Yes — the full product is free while we're in beta. No credit card, no feature limits. When we launch paid plans, you'll get plenty of notice and a permanent discount as an early user.
What kind of shops is this built for?
Fashion retail: clothing, footwear, accessories, boutiques. It handles product variants (size, colour), barcodes, multi-location stock, and supplier management. If you sell physical goods across one or more shops, it fits.
Can I manage more than one shop?
Yes. Add as many shops and warehouses as you need under one organisation. The admin panel shows all locations together — revenue comparison, stock transfers, org-wide reports, and employee management across all of them.
What is a warehouse shop?
A warehouse is an inventory hub — no POS, no customer orders. It receives stock from suppliers via purchase orders and fulfils transfer requests from your retail branches. It has its own dashboard tracking stock movement, pending transfers, and low-stock alerts.
How do purchase orders work?
Create a draft order against a supplier, add items and costs, then submit it. When stock arrives, receive it — quantities flow directly into inventory and costs are recorded for P&L. You can partially receive if a delivery comes in batches.
What does the cash register feature do?
Staff open the register at the start of a shift with a counted opening amount. At close, they enter the actual cash in the drawer. The system calculates expected cash from all sales and flags any discrepancy — so you always know if cash is over or short.
Can my staff only see what they need to?
Yes. Sales staff see POS and orders only. Inventory staff see stock and transfers, no POS. Managers see everything for their shop. The org owner sees everything across all shops. Roles are set per person, per shop.
Is my data safe? Can I export it?
Your data is stored on managed, hosted PostgreSQL — not on anyone's laptop. You can export your orders, products, customers, and reports at any time. Your data is always yours.
Does it work if the internet goes down?
The mobile and desktop apps work fully offline — sales, receipts, and stock updates happen locally and sync when connection returns. The web app requires a connection, like any browser-based tool.
